February Brings Warmer Waters and Great Fishing

With the temperatures starting to feel more spring-like in coastal Georgia, the team at Cabin Bluff is thinking "fishing". During February, we expect to enjoy warmer weather and increasing water temperatures, during the warm sunny days. The reds will still be schooling in areas of the oyster rakes and mud flats at low tide. And the trout will become active again and move in from the upper river areas. The close-in offshore reefs are holding some great action for large sheepshead and the bull reds will be there also for those who would like "a big pull" at the end of the line. For those wanting to perfect their fly rod skills on largemouth bass and monster brim, the freshwater ponds are just walking distance from the lodge and cabins.

It's a great time to book a corporate retreat or family outing to get in on some great coastal and freshwater fishing. We look forward to sharing a day on the water with you at Cabin Bluff.
